This month for Colors of 2013 the challenge was Christmas colours. I decided not to go too glitzy with baubles and tinsel, but wanted to try out a more subtle and vintage look. I found the little patisserie tins over at Lululiz in Vintageland - she has a wonderful Etsy shop, full of delightful French vintage finds.

Colours of 2013 - Turquoise and Gold
I've been taking part in Eva Ricci's Colors of 2013, and for November's photo collage the colours to capture were turquoise and gold. Feeling this was going to be a tricky month I very luckily found this beautiful tin in a local antique shop, and it matched perfectly with the sari silk and other bits and bobs I had tucked away in my studio!

In Honour of Autumn
Welcome to my new blog! Although primarily I am a textile artist who uses photography in textile work, I am becoming increasingly passionate about photography. I hope you will share the creative journey with me.
Autumn has to be my favourite time of year - I just love the oranges, reds and golds that are appearing everywhere you look. This beautiful leaf fluttered down on me while we were out walking yesterday - it was one of many that were swirling around in the breeze and I felt like I was walking through confetti. Just wonderful!
I used Pixel Dust textures for this image.
