Summer Memories

This week the theme is 'summer memories'.
I have spent a lot of time over the summer in this quiet, shady corner of the garden - it's beautifully secluded and not overlooked by anyone, and can't be seen from the house.  It's where I can contemplate life and collect my thoughts, sit and read a good book or relax with a cool drink.

At Home

The challenge for this week is 'At Home'.

 I've been up in my studio painting some lace bobbins this week, the theme is based on my love of blue and white china. 

These are for my own use, although sometimes I sell them.

August is the theme this week. 

These beautiful and late flowering Anemone Japonica glow in the evening sunshine, brightening up a dark, shady corner of the garden.

Orange

This week's challenge is 'orange', and this is one of the last 

Geum flowers I have left in the garden.  

They give such a  lovely bright splash of colour.
