Something Important

This week the theme is 'something important'.
These three little Guinea Pigs are important members of our family,
so I wanted to take some photos of them that were better than the usual snapshots.
It was difficult - they wriggled a lot and had to have railings around the table to stop them falling off the edge!

The two girls are Blossom and Betsy...

...and this is our boy Bertie

September

'September' is the theme for this week.
I have started harvesting some of the pears on our tree this week -
it's been a good year for them.
I shall cook them up with ginger and add an oat crumble topping - a perfect winter treat!

Signs of Autumn

The challenge for this week is 'signs of Autumn'.
Rosehips in the garden are a sure sign that Autumn is on the way.
It seemed to happen quickly this year - one minute beautiful scented flowers and the next these stunning red hips.

Summer Memories

This week the theme is 'summer memories'.
I have spent a lot of time over the summer in this quiet, shady corner of the garden - it's beautifully secluded and not overlooked by anyone, and can't be seen from the house.  It's where I can contemplate life and collect my thoughts, sit and read a good book or relax with a cool drink.
Some happy memories despite a lock down summer!

At Home

The challenge for this week is 'At Home'.
I've been up in my studio painting some lace bobbins this week, the theme is based on my love of blue and white china.
These are for my own use, although sometimes I sell them.

August

August is the theme this week.
These beautiful and late flowering Anemone Japonica glow in the evening sunshine, brightening up a dark, shady corner of the garden.

Orange

This week's challenge is 'orange', and this is one of the last
Geum flowers I have left in the garden.
They give such a  lovely bright splash of colour.
