Orange Feathers and Marbled Books

I found a beautiful orange feather 

while sorting out my studio.

I also found a very old marbled book in a charity shop.

Somehow they seemed to go together.

Dyed and gilded eggs for January's colour Aqua.

We were given an added theme of 'New Beginnings'

Colours of 2016 - Noir

The colour for November is black.

I chose antique ink bottles, a crows feather quill pen and vintage letters.

Peach is the colour for August.

Paints and palettes, water pots and brushes, and old pianola music paper.

I wanted to continue with this beautiful colour of Cobalt blue for July  -

a butterfly from my Victorian collection and antique china.

and is there a more perfect flower for the challenge than the Agapanthus?
