I just love any excuse to photograph my Victorian collection of dead butterflies!

April

 April always sees me moving away from the earthy autumn colours that I naturally gravitate towards and love working with, and moving towards bright greens, yellows and pinks.

These piles of felt, velvet and pleated silk are all ready for me to start some Spring inspired embroidery, collages and textile jewellery.

 This week the theme is Signs of Spring, and Pussy Willow is always a wonderful signal that Spring is here!

March

 This week the theme is March.

 I had these photos ready for last week's theme which was Round.  However I spent last Tuesday thinking it was Monday so missed the challenge!

These pretty microgreens are peas and are still growing on my windowsill - they will be ready to eat very soon.

Things That Make Me Happy

 This week the theme is 'things that make me happy'.

One of the things that I love doing is photography - it is so enjoyable to gather together some special treasures and have a little photo session, and I have especially had a lot of pleasure from joining in with this challenge each week.

 I have recently added another vintage inkwell to my collection - I can't resist a nice inkwell - so out came the camera and I had a happy afternoon!

February

 This week the theme is February.

 I first posted about growing my acorn here back in November 2021.

So 3 months later - it's February and he's looking very healthy and working hard to turn into a tree!

The instructions with the acorn vase suggest he should be ready for planting in the autumn, so he has a bit more work to do yet.
